O SankarI! O Mother (ammA)! You (nIvu) please relieve (dIrcu) my (nA) worries (cintala) now (ipuDu) (dIrcammAvipuDu) very quickly (vEvEga).

Please protect (kAvavE) me. Haven’t (gadA) I sought (AgatuDu) Your refuge (SaraNa) (SaraNAgatuDu)? Please bestow (osagu) boons (varamu) (varamosagu) without delaying (tAmasamu sEyaka).

As vEdas (vEdamulu) proclaim (moralu iDaganu) (moraliDaganu) that (anucu), on the Earth (bhuvilO), You are the Goddess (dora) (literally Lord) (dorayanucu) who has (galigina) the appellation (birudu) as (ani) ‘bestower (dAyaki) (dAyakiyani) of fruits (phala) to those who always (sadA) supplicate’ (nata),

O Resident (nilayA) of kadamba (nIpa) grove (vana)! O Mother having the assembly (samudayA) of celestials (sura)! O Mother holding (vidhRta) lotus (kuvalayA) in Your hand (kara)! O Lion – Lord (indra) of animals (mRga) - for arrogant (mada) asura (danuja) elephants (vAraNa)! O Great One (ghanA) who removes (damana) impurities (kalusha) of dependents (ASrita) (mRgEndRASrita)!
You grant (iccEvu) much (bahu) prosperity (sampadalanu) to those people (jana Adulaku) (janAdulaku) who, in their minds (madilO), contemplate (smaraNa dalacina) on You (nI) who has (gala) limitless (aparimita) grandeur (vaibhavamu). Now (ipuDu) (sampadalaniccEvipuDu), please grant (iyyavE) me (mAku) refuge (abhayamu) (literally freedom from fear) (mAkabhayamiyyavE).

O Sister (sahOdarI) of vishNu – SyAma kRshNa! O Siva SankarI! O Supreme (parama) Goddess (ISvari) (paramESvarI) (Or Consort of Siva - paramESvara)! Is it within the capacity (taramA) of even vishNu (hari), Siva (hara) and others (Adulaku) (harAdulaku) to measure (gaNimpa) Your (nI) greatness (mahimalu)?
O Mother (ammA)! I am Your son (sutuDu) (sutuDammA). Don’t You have (lEdA) affection (abhimAnamu) towards me (nApai)? O dEvI! Why (ElanE) this indifference (parAku) (parAkElanE)? Please protect (brOvavE) me now (ipuDu), SrI bhairavI (Or Consort of Siva – bhairava)!
